In the beginning stages, one may encounter a painless lump. Soon after the lump continues to grow causing pain or swelling in the breast or armpit area. This is usually discovered while taking a shower or getting dressed.
Skin changes such as the pit formation (pictured above), discoloration, and higher than normal temperature may occur in the breast area.
Discharge is sometimes released from the nipple area.
